Every day we experience countless sensations in the body, but do we really pay attention to them? In the rush of thoughts and daily affairs, feeling fades into the background. Absorbed in the external world, we often do not notice the subtle signals that the body is constantly sending us. And yet, when the mind calms down, something new appears – space for feeling that may have previously remained in the background. It is not the discovery of something new, but the noticing of something that has always been there.
When the mind withdraws, the body begins to feel
When we stop for a moment and stop paying attention solely to our thoughts, we begin to notice something more subtle – a body that has always felt. Sometimes it is only in a moment of deep pause that we notice how much is happening in the body. Some experiences can be surprising, others can be moving or even confusing. A flow of energy, spontaneous movements, waves of heat – all these can happen when we allow feeling to flow without the need for control.
Nitya emphasizes, “Let yourself experience something new. Don't make anything more of it.” It doesn’t always need to be analyzed or named, it just needs to be allowed to come. When we don’t try to give meaning to what comes, the body opens up and the energy moves freely.
Highlights of Satsang:
The body begins to speak (0:50)
A Satsang participant shares an experience in which she noticed that when she stopped mentally controlling reality, she began to feel an intense flow of energy in her body. It was accompanied by agitation and even tears. It was not something that could be logically explained – it just happened.
In response, Nitya says, “There is nothing strange about it. You simply stop disturbing and the body unblocks itself.” When we do not block ourselves from feeling, a natural flow occurs. When you don't interfere, the energy flows (3:30)
Many people experience that when the mind recedes, the body begins to respond in a way that they have not known before. Sometimes there are spontaneous movements, gestures that seem to come from the body itself, not from a decision of the mind. The energy flows freely and synchronizes with the space.
Nitya says, “Life works this way all the time. We are just blocking ourselves off with our intellect.” What seems new has actually always been there – we just didn’t notice it before.
The flow of life energy
When the body begins to open, we experience not only subtle flows but also intense life energy, including sexual energy. This can be a surprising experience, especially when there was no space for it before. This movement does not come from effort, but from a natural opening to what is already there.
Nitya says, “Sometimes during waking up, the life force is triggered.” This is not unusual—it is simply a connection with one’s own power, which may have been blocked by tension, habitual thinking, or control mechanisms. When we allow it to be, the body begins to awaken again, finding its natural rhythm.
Let your body be
Experiences can be intense, they can surprise us, but they do not require interpretation. The body does not need analysis to act in harmony with what is happening. Every movement, every wave of energy, occurs spontaneously, if we allow ourselves to be fully open. We do not have to know where these sensations come from - we just have to trust them. The body knows how to move itself when we do not impose a direction. When we do not try to give meaning to every sensation, the flow of energy becomes more free, and sensations appear and disappear in a natural rhythm.
We don’t always need words to understand what’s happening. Sometimes the best thing we can do is to let everything be as it is – without pressure, without the need to define. In this state, the body rests in its own wisdom, and feeling becomes more spacious, free from expectations.
The body is constantly receiving signals, but it is up to us to allow them to flow freely. If the topic touches you, the full recording of the Satsang is waiting for you here:
